What is compensation?
The law defines compensation as recompense for
loss. There are many different types of compensation in the UK
such as:
car accident compensation,
criminal injury compensation, personal injury compensation, workers
compensation, unemployment compensation, medical compensation,
accident compensation
and many other types of compensation.
Should you suffer an injury (physical or psychological)
as the consequence of an accident, you may be entitled to a financial
award to answer for income loss, medical expenses, or any other
related expenses that you have incurred as a result of the injury,
provided that the accident was not your own fault.
The type of compensation, as well as the amount you
receive, will depend mostly on the injury’s severity, the circumstances
of the accident itself, and the degree to which you may be
culpable for the accident.
